Pohl Force MK-9 Legacy | RT BAKER
In the movie “First Blood”, the action hero with the code name “Raven” belonged to the so-called “Military Assistance Command, Vietnam - Studies and Observation Group” (or MACV-SOG in short). This was a special task force for unconventional warfare in Vietnam from 1964 to 1972 and was deployed in top-secret operations throughout Southeast Asia during the war. The main mission of this force, consisting of American Special Forces (Green Berets), Air Combat Controllers, Navy SEALs, South Vietnamese special units and local mercenaries, was to carry out secret training, strike force and reconnaissance missions. The units also advanced outside South Vietnam as far as Laos, Cambodia and North Vietnam.
Numerous medals such as the “Medal of Honor”, the highest bravery award of the U.S. armed forces, prove how brave and powerful the troops were. In the film, “Raven” belonged to a reconnaissance team codenamed “Baker”, which Pohl Force would like to honor with this special edition limited to just 30 pieces. An interpretation of the former coat of arms of the special unit is applied to the blade of the MK-9 RT Baker as an elaborately designed laser engraving and is also a highlight in the extensive scope of delivery of the set as a special patch woven in a very small number. This makes the MK-9 Legacy | RT Baker a unique collector's item with a real historical reference.

The MK-9 Legacy impresses not only with its appearance, but also with a multitude of well thought-out functional elements. The most important elements include the back saw, screwdriver on the hand guard, elongated holes in the hand guard for attaching lanyards, a cavity for survival equipment inside the handle, a striking element at the end of the handle and a key for opening the handle screws.
The MK-9 Legacy is made only from selected, high-quality materials. The massive, 230 millimeter long and 6.2 millimeter thick spear-point blade is made of the highalloy carbon steel Niolox. It impresses with properties such as high rust resistance and exceptional edge retention. The blasted surface of the blade prevents reflection and emphasizes the technical appearance of the Legacy. The textured handle scales made of black G-10 or green canvas composite material are CNC-milled from the solid material.
According to Pohl Force standard, the tang is provided with a SRM (Surface Round Milling), that realizes a high grip comfort. Easy access to the handle cavity is made possible with the key included in the scope of delivery.
As with the CNC-Tec Edition of MOVIE KNIVES, the MK-9 Legacy is built to strict specifications in close cooperation with our European manufacturing partner Lionsteel. As a multiple winner of the 'Blade Manufacturing Award', a guarantee for outstanding quality.
The very high-quality leather sheath with leg strap is made by our manufacturing partner and traditional company Radar 1957. This company is one of the leading manufacturers of holsters for the police and military sector. Based in Tuscany, near Florence, the company looks back on almost 70 years of experience. The classic diamond knife sharpener made of solid brass by the manufacturer Eze-Lap from Carson City, Nevada, finds its place on the leather sheath.
The exclusive RT Baker set also includes the elaborately crafted Kydex® sheath as supplied with the Hope Prototype Edition. It is also manufactured in Europe by Cuchillería El Abuelo in Albacete, Spain. Only original US-made Kydex® material is used in the heavy-duty material thickness of 2.5 millimeters that is typical for Pohl Force. The leg straps and the belt loop are made of extremely tear-resistant nylon.
The scope of delivery includes the special RT Baker patch, eight lobby cards, the three special lobby cards of the Hope Prototype Edition, a vintage flyer and a highquality collector's bag. This has a 2-way zipper (lockable) and a Velcro surface for patches. Perfect for safe transportation or as a base for presenting the MK-9 Legacy.
The MK-9 | Legacy RT Baker is strictly limited to only 30 pieces worldwide. Twentyfive knives with green canvas composite handle scales and five knives with black G-10 handle scales. Each leather and Kydex® sheath is exclusively signed by designer Dietmar Pohl on the back and marked with the serial number.
